Saint George Dragon Saber Knight Sword - Dull Blade - for Collections, Gifts

The sword's blade, constructed from 440 Stainless Steel with a ridge line and short Ricasso, comes slightly sharpened. The scabbard, made of polished steel, is adorned with a crouching dragon as the drag, a resting dragon in the middle with a chain, and a third dragon as the scabbard throat. All the dragons are highly detailed. The guard, in the shape of a roaring dragon, seamlessly fits into the scabbard, with the arc of the dragon's neck creating a cut-out design. The handle, a solid construction, is the steel body of the dragon on the guard, with the dragon's tail offering a full hand guard.

According to the Golden Legend, there was a dreaded dragon that lived near the town of Silene. The dragon demanded a human sacrifice before allowing the residents of Silene to draw water from their lake, leading to daily lotteries of virgins. When the Princess was chosen, the grief stricken King offered his gold to spare her, but his subjects denied him. Saint George, passing through the kingdom, heard of the Princess's impending sacrifice and confronted the dragon. Using his spear and the Princess's girdle, he led the dragon to Silene and killed it. Saint George refused payment for his heroic act, instead requesting that all the people of Silene baptize themselves.

The sword's overall length is 35.25 inches, with a blade length of 28 inches and a handle length of 6 inches. The blade is made of 440 Stainless Steel with a dull edge, and the scabbard is made of stainless steel. The sword also features an intricately detailed cast metal dragon handle and a beautifully ornate cast metal scabbard fitting, making it perfect for collections or as a gift.
