The scabbard, made from all polished steel, showcases a crouching dragon as the drag. This dragon rests in the middle of the scabbard and includes a chain for wearing the sword. The scabbard throat is adorned with a third highly detailed dragon. The guard of the sword depicts a roaring dragon, with its head, wings, and feet acting as the guard's arms. The arc of the dragon's neck creates a cut out design, seamlessly fitting into the scabbard. The handle of the sword is the steel body of the dragon on the guard, with the dragon's tail offering a full hand guard. The handle is a solid construction.

According to the Golden Legend, there was once a terrible dragon that lived near the town of Silene, terrorizing the residents. The dragon demanded a daily human sacrifice in exchange for allowing the residents to draw water from their lake. The people held a lottery of virgins, with the chosen one being offered to the dragon. One day, the Princess of the land was chosen, and despite her father's pleas to spare her, the people refused. Saint George heard of the impending sacrifice and rode to the lake, where he confronted and ultimately killed the dragon, using the Princess's girdle to lead the dragon to Silene.

St. George refused any payment for his heroic act, instead requesting that all the people of Silene baptize themselves. The sword's overall length is 35.25", with a blade length of 28" and handle length of 6".
